Must See Fort Fincastle

Located a five-minute drive and 15-minute walk from The Port is Fort Fincastle. Constructed in 1793 out of cut limestone, Fort Fincastle has the appearance of a paddle steamer boat and was built to protect Nassau and its harbor. It was built under direction of Governor John Murray, Viscount Fincastle. This uniquely shaped structure is one of three forts on the island of New Providence and is near a few other attractions on our must-see list!
