Must See The Cloisters and Paradise Island

An island paradise awaits a 10-minute drive or 45-minute walk over the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge which will land you on famed Paradise Island (Formerly known as Hog Island). Once on Paradise Island you can visit The Cloister, originally a French Monastery built sometime in the 12th or 13th Century. The Cloister was taken stone by stone from France and eventually transported to The Bahamas. Stones from the Monastery were reassembled on Paradise Island in 1968. A peaceful, tranquil spot and popular wedding venue with breathtaking views of the ocean, the scenery here is a delight to behold.
